Visit of the delegation form the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences

On October 12, 2018, the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy - National Research Institute hosted a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The purpose of the meeting was to present the profile of activities by both sides and discuss the possibilities of cooperation.

Members of the delegation from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences were:
Professor Yang Danhui - Director of the Division of Resource and Environment, Institute of Industrial Economics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences

Professor Li Pengfei  - Deputy Director of the Division of Resource and Environment, Institute of Industrial Economics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences

Dr Zhang Yanfang - Researcher of the Division of Resource and Environment, Institute of Industrial Economics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences

The following IAFE-NRI employees took part in the meeting: Barbara Wieliczko, Wioletta Wrzaszcz, Paweł Chmieliński, Łukasz Ambroziak and Małgorzata Bułkowska.

During the visit to the IAFE-NRI, the delegation from China had the opportunity to familiarize with the subject of research conducted by the Institute. The following presentations were presented:

Barbara Wieliczko – activities of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy-PIB;

Paweł Chmieliński – IAFE-NRI’s foreign cooperation and ERDN activities;

Wioletta Wrzaszcz – sustainable development of the Polish agriculture;

Małgorzata Bułkowska - Agri-food trade between Poland and China;

Łukasz Ambroziak – Polish food industry.

The Chinese side presented a presentation entitled “Made in China” concerning the challenges and direction of the development of the Chinese economy with a particular focus on emissions’ reduction and implementation of innovations.
